1. Create an Account You need to create an account with us in order to shop online. This is so that we know your name and address (so we can post your orders to you). You only have to enter these details once - for subsequent visits you simply have to "login" to identify yourself. How to create an account Because of it's uniqueness to each individual, your e-mail address is used as the "key" to your account. Additionally you must choose a password so that only you can access your account - remember to choose a password that you can remember! To create a new account simply click on the "My Account" link which is found at the top of every page, and then select [Create a New Account]. You then fill in your name, address and other details. Make sure you complete all fields marked with an asterisk as your account cannot be set up unless these are filled in. Alternatively, you can search the site for products you would like to buy, place these in your Shopping Basket, and then press the "Checkout" button to buy them. Here you will be prompted to create a new account if you do not have one already. Information sent to us during account creation is completely secure - see our [Security Information] section for further details. In addition, we will use this information only as described in our [Privacy Policy]. 2. Choose the items you would like to purchase by placing them in your Shopping Basket Your Shopping Basket is simply a list of products you are interested in buying. You can browse the TMC Publishing site and at any time add a product to your basket by clicking on "Add to Basket" where it appears. Adding a product to your Shopping Basket in no way commits you to buying it - you can always remove it later. Your Shopping Basket will "remember" products you have added to it if you leave it and continue to browse the site. 3. Checkout Once you have placed all the items you wish to order in your Shopping Basket, you can press the "Checkout" button to proceed with the purchase. You will be redirected to our secure online payment processor where you will be asked for your payment method - all information will be transmitted in an encrypted format - see our [Security Information] section for further details. In "Checkout" you can check your account details and then confirm your order. An e-mail will be sent to you confirming each order you place, and these confirmation details will also be displayed on screen for you to print out if desired. Please note that if you are paying by credit/debit card you will also receive an email from Worldpay, confirming that your payment has been processed. Once your payment has been received (and cleared in the case of cheques) your orders will be packaged and despatched to you. You have a statutory right to cancel orders. Payment Methods We accept payment by Visa, Mastercard, Visa Electron, Maestro, Solo and JCB. All transactions are processed in Pounds Sterling. If you are shopping from outside the UK your credit card company will convert the transaction to your own currency on your credit card statement. If you do not wish to enter your credit or debit card details over the internet there are two other options for credit/debit card payment:- 1. You can fax your details to us on 01923 285840 (UK) or 00 44 1923 285840 (International) Please include the following details in your fax: your e-mail address, your order number (if available), your credit card number, the card's expiry date, the card holder's name (as shown on the card) and the card's issue number if it has one. 2. You can give us your details over the phone - simply call 01923 284151 (UK) or 00 44 1923 284151 (international) and talk to one of our customer support staff who will be more than happy to help you with your order. Be sure to have your credit card to hand, along with your order number (if available) and details of the titles you would like to order. 3. We also accept payment by cheque or postal order (denominated in Pounds Sterling). Cheques or postal orders for the full amount (including postage) should be made payable to TMC Publishing and sent to TMC Publishing, Solesbridge Lane, Chorleywood, Herts WD3 5SX. Please note that orders will not be despatched until cheques have been cleared. 5. VAT All book prices shown on the TMC Publishing website are inclusive of UK rated VAT (books are currently rated at 0%). For non-UK customers, TMC Publishing is required by law to collect VAT on orders dispatched to countries within the European Union. Standard UK rated VAT will be charged (currently 0%). Orders sent to addresses anywhere else in the world are not subject to VAT but they may be subject to local taxes and customs charges. |
